Criollo Fittings is a group of woven works inspired by industrial forms of pipes, bellows and other elements used in the construction industry. I used wicker and the popular basketry technique typical of the identity of the Delta of the Paraná River. 

Criollo was the word used during the colonial era to name the descendants of Europeans born on Latin American soil. Wicker (Salix viminalis) was brought from Europe at the end of the 19th century and, like many immigrants who arrived on the shores of Buenos Aires, it adapted to the new American soil and developed its own characteristics according to the new context. 

The homogenization that the mode of production capitalism needs to efficiently produce these serial industrial forms can be compared to the homogenization used to conquer and dominate the cultural diversity present in our origins. 

These works seek to connect two different productive spheres, the artisan and the industrial, and the origins of Latin American, European and American identity.
